For this project I was told to find a favourite recipe of mine and create a creative typography design on how to make this recipe. The first thing that I did was look up cool typography recipes online, and find a nice design layout that I really liked, and try to imitate it using my own recipe and words. First thing I did was line up the picture that I was using for inspiration and my Ai file exactly, than I placed ruler lines all over the page to indicate where dividers went and lines on the bottom and top of the page to keep my final design in a nice clean rectangle. From there, I just used the original picture as a reference and used different fonts, sizes, and line designs to make the page of type visually appealing. I think that using the option 'Create Outline' was particularly successful as I was able to stretch words out to fit them where I needed to go instead of choosing a whole other font. Creating outlines was also one of the hardest things I did as I figured out afterwards that it became a shape, not a font, once I changed something about it, so I was unable to find out what type of font I used, etc. If I could change anything, I would change the stars used to separate text to a different chap, as they didn't turn out quite how I wanted them, and think a different shape would have had a better impact.
